Corinthian

Corinthian type ware shows the 'orientalizing' of decoration that comes in the 7th and 8th centuries B.C.  The decoration shows the influence of Asia Minor in the Agean region and generally has motifs of the sphinx, griffins, and lions.  This type of ware is classified as being archaic or from the time during greek colonial development as well as population increase and the intellectual revolution.   .
